Note
The materials presented here are results of my efforts to explore efficient methodes in the many possible ways for creating technical documentation. As the focus here is software documentation, Python 3.7.4 was my tool of choice. I have tested many modules, but I used mainly Jupyter lab, notebooks and extensions, and Sphinx documentation builder. Acknowledgements and data source links are provided where appropiate.

Astropy¶
The astropy package contains key functionality and common tools needed for performing astronomy and astrophysics with Python. It is at the core of the Astropy Project, which aims to enable the community to develop a robust ecosystem of Affiliated Packages covering a broad range of needs for astronomical research, data processing, and data analysis.
Sky image data¶
- Acknowledgement
The Digitized Sky Survey was produced at the Space Telescope Science Institute under U.S. Government grant NAG W–2166. The images of these surveys are based on photographic data obtained using the Oschin Schmidt Telescope on Palomar Mountain and the UK Schmidt Telescope. The plates were processed into the present compressed digital form with the permission of these institutions.
